Perforated metal façade for the Dutch Embassy in Berlin
The challenge
As a result of German reunification and the capital city resolution, there was a need for a representative embassy building in Berlin. The challenge was to develop a custom-made perforated metal façade that is not only aesthetically appealing but also meets the specific functional requirements of the message. The aim was to create a sophisticated design that both represents the identity of the building and ensures effective transmission of light and air.
The solution
The result was an internationally acclaimed work of art: An L-shaped building made of exposed concrete adjoins the neighboring development and thus makes it possible to expose the main cubic structure despite the surrounding block perimeter construction. The aluminum perforated sheet façade and glass define the external appearance of the building.
The result
The perforated metal façade of the Dutch Embassy in Berlin combines elegant design with functional transparency and creates a harmonious combination of aesthetics and practicality. The façade not only serves as an eye-catcher, but also meets the high standards in terms of energy efficiency, sound insulation and safety. With our expertise in metal processing and commitment to tailor-made solutions, we are proud to contribute to outstanding architectural design. | Photo credit Hero motif © Alejandro de Guezala Urpír
