A project for IBA Hamburg “Jump over the Elbe”
The challenge
IBA Hamburg develops new, livable and lively neighborhoods throughout Hamburg that offer living space and jobs for a mixed society. In addition to a wide range of housing options for all walks of life, this includes good social infrastructure and mobility concepts that enable easy networking in and outside the district. In addition, spatially limited and space-saving resource planning and developments are necessary.
The solution
to create porches that combine aesthetic and practical elements. Additional space for various types of accommodation was found here in a modern way. The Spaceport right at the entrance to the apartment.
The result
As external components, porches are exposed to a wide range of stresses. In addition to the effects of weather, they often have to withstand high mechanical loads and at the same time meet aesthetic requirements. At this point, the solution was designed using FCS corrugated iron with colorful accents.
